You’ll need a rough idea of what your 5k time is to sign up. This will help us group you into the right race.

Go out there and give it some welly. Just don’t be the last person to cross the finish line each lap :)

Race format

Elimination for the win!

You’ll be racing a maximum distance of 5km around the inside track of a velodrome (250m each lap). Every other lap, the bell will ring to indicate an elimination lap and it’s an all out sprint to be not last across the line. Simple right?

You may be thinking, “why every other lap?”. Well, great question! We want the race to be as close as possible and give you slow coaches the best chance possible, we’ll be controlling the pace between elimination laps. The pace will be determined randomly by the WHEEL OF PACES.

    Just kidding, we got you covered. Each lap the wheel of paces decides the pace so you won't necessarily get dropped on the first lap. We'll also have a male and a female race to make it extra fair.

    Other option is to bring along a slower mate to make sure you'll beat them ;)
